Make every weekend a long weekend without fabulous offer. Start your day off by arriving early, check in is at 4 pm but why not bring your swimming togs and go for a dip before check in and enjoy our 20 metre swimming pool, our sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and not forgetting our kiddie’s pool.
After your swim, you can take your time getting ready and make our hotel your home away from home with our spacious rooms and login to your very own Netflix account (a personal favourite of ours). That evening enjoy a scrumptious meal in our vibrant cedar bar, or why not a house cocktail or even afternoon tea? Either way you will be spoilt for choice with our menu with its freshly cooked and locally selected options on offer.

We have thought about you when creating our blog, we have accumulated our list of top ten things we would recommend that you would do when visiting Athlone. We are so fortunate to be located within Ireland Hidden Heartlands surrounded by the great outdoors and Ireland’s Ancient East. From visiting the Vikings at Athlone Castle, take a cruise along the river Shannon with River Run or Viking boat Tours and stop off at the monastic site of Clonmacnoise and see the infamous round tower. Rent a bike and cycle the Old Rail Greenway here in Athlone or take a stroll along Portlick forest which overlooks the beautiful Lough Ree.
Whether it’s a chilled break away or an activity driven stay you are looking for, Athlone is the perfect place for you and just over an hour from Dublin and an hour from Galway so you won’t be stuck in the car all day!
