Continue your food & drink trail by stopping into Dead Centre Brewery for some of their infamous beers whilst taking in their scenic views. Stroll across the river Shannon and head for Athlone Castle and the Luan Gallery. While you are there its worth stopping into Sean’s bar the oldest bar in Ireland and take a step back in time, most nights they have live music also, you’re guaranteed a night of enjoyment truly immersed in the culture of the midlands. Shop till you drop in two of the midlands best shopping centres both just a five minute walk from each other, that of Athlone Town Centre and Golden Island Shopping Centre.
